I have decided to let my son booked the hostel accommodation in the university. In this way, he is able to save time on transportation traveling from home to university and vice versa. Also, I hope that he can be more independent in managing his life. There's a lot of discipline needed and I hope that he can become more disciplined once he is on his own. Of course, I am also very worried that he will continue to sleep even later now that there's nobody to nag him on his computer time. We will monitor him and see if he is well behaved in his hostel stay. There are many choices of hostel stays. I have asked him to book the residential college (RC) rather than staying in the Halls where I heard students will play day and night. For RC stay, the students have to study 3 modules during their free time and this is also part of their academic requirements in year 1. Yesterday, my son just checked in to his hostel. Quite a decent room, clean and neat.
