It was a 50th birthday celebration

It was a 50th birthday celebration for my friend. The dining was in a french restaurant at St Regis. The restaurant looks very posh and nice cozy setting. The menu includes champagne and buffet style for apetitizer and dessert spread. My friend joined the restaurant as a member and she was entitled to certain discount for dining. Hence she held her birthday celebration there. Altogether my friend booked 10 tables for the celebration. Each guest was allowed to choose one main course out of 4 choices. They have beef, duck, lamb and fish. I chose the beef and I must say I had made the right choice. It was quite nicely done and very delicious. The meat was very tender and cooked just to the right temperature. Of course the free flowing of the champagne was the best. We drank merrily and had so much fun. The dessert spread was quite limited. Nevertheles, the quality of the dessert is very good.
