1、lembangan sungai muar dengan keluasan tadahan 6138km2 merangkumi negeri Sembilan,Melaka,Pahang dan johor.
2、Lembangan sumgai muar terutamanya Bandar segamat,pagoh dan gemas
Seringkali mengalami kejadian banjir sejak dari tahum 1920an dengan
Magnitude yang berbeza.
3、kejadian banjir yang berlaku pada tuhun dis 2006-jan 2007 dan jan 2011
Merupakan yang terburuk di dalam sejarah dan telah mendapat liputan meluas
Pihak media serta menimbulkan pelbagai reaksi orang awam.
4、Kawasan yang teruk ditenggelami air adalah kawasan perumahan,pusat
Komersial dan persekolahan. Paras air yang setinggi melebihi 1.5m-5.0m
